"The Color Purple"

What I think of the movie is that it’s a great movie showing how some women are being treated badly by men. It also shows that women may be truthful and take care of everything, while on the other hand the man is cheating on her the whole time. the cast was awesome, and I liked the person who acted out Nattie, she played her role right.

The movie the color purple is a more realistic movie than it is as fiction. The movie describes how some women suffer when they are being forced to marry someone when love doesn’t exist. At the beginning of the movie they showed how the two sisters had lots of fun together and were playing the whole time. Nattie and her sister Celie. Nattie was the elder sister of Celie. Celie was only 14 by then (only a year younger than me hhh). one day a guy came to their father asking to get married to Celie. Their father said she is still young, and he should marry Nattie. He told him that Nattie can clean the house, cook, and raise his children for him, so he should marry her so then she could help him instead of Celie the young girl who can burly do anything. The father has a dirty history with Nattie, he actually did have sex with her few times, and had (as I remamber0 two sons from her. And every time she gets the birth her father sends it somewhere that she doesn’t know where. And at the beginning of the movie they showed that Maggie at that moment was getting birth of her second son from her father. Let me go back to the where she was going to get married of a guy she doesn’t know. The man first refused to get married of Nattie, but then her father say you should check her out. The man was checking Nattie, as I describe it the same way you check the meat before you buy it. He was looking at her up and down saying, she seems good. And so he just toke her from her father’s house without any celebrations or anything. When Nattie saw her new house it was a big shock for her. Everything seems old and dirty. Her husband had several kids from his previous wife, and they were running wildly around the house. The house, as I describe it, is more like a trashcan. Everything thrown out, the kitchen being dirty. And so she rushed to clean it all up. She never knew his name so she used to call him MASTER. He wouldn’t respect her neither did his sons and daughters. When she does the laundry, the kids would be playing around the house and throwing her laundry. She did her best to get over it all. When he asks her what he should wear, he always chooses the opposite of what she choose, and he never knows where he throws his stuffs, and so every time she must search for them for him. One day her husband came late at night and holding a woman. One of his sons asked him, who is she?. Master answered, this is the woman that was supposed to be your mommy. She was drunk and weak, and so he had to carry her into a room in the house. In the morning he tried to prepare her something to eat, but he burned the whole kitchen and burned the food. But still he gave her the food thinking she would appreciate it. Lol it was funny how she threw the food, and sucked in the wall. Nattie wandered how the color of the food she will prepare would look like. That means she prepared her (Shug) the food just to see which color is gonna appear in the wall. It turned out that Shug liked the food Nattie prepared. Nattie then went and gave her a bath. Shug appreciated everything Nattie did to her. And they both found out about the master cheating on Nattie, and saving pictures of women in his case. Nattie also found out her sister have been sending her letters that whole time, but she never saw them. Due to the master had taken them and hided them from her. Shug, which her name is a short cut for sugar, was a singer in a bar. She sang a song for Nattie (titled “Sister”, or sista). After that a fight occurred in the bar. Nattie enjoyed watching it, because they didn’t have a TV to watch such things like we do. But Shug asked her to leave with her, leaving the guys fight in the bar. By that point of the time, Nattie found out lots of facts about her husband even his real name. Nattie by that point also disrespected him a bit but didn’t show him that she does. After that Shug traveled away from them leaving Nattie, and promising her she won’t forget her favors. When Shug came back, she was back with the master’s father. She didn’t seem too bad with him. But Nattie and Master were shocked of seeing her with him. Then they had dinner, with all the other people. Nattie suddenly got pissed at master when he was telling jokes, and so she couldn’t handle it anymore and held a knife wanting to harm him. But she didn’t because she had patient, and instead she inserted the knife right beside him in the table. She decided to leave the place with Shug and never return. She became a very successful woman in her life, she even opened a store. It ends when master sees her in her shop happily with Shug and Herpo (I think he was his son). Btw she once saw one of her sons (she felt like he was her son but she doesn’t know if he was or not) in a store with a white woman. She also was a bit blind due to the beatups she get from her husband, and so one woman once helped her to buy something in the store and she was very thankful to her.

it was my pleasure

remambering it made me remamber the greatest memories of my heart ,, i remamberd the teacher that used to teach us, now he is in oman,, i remambred the classmates and how much fun we had commenting about the movie,, and then by the end of it we started singing the song

Celie is the one who marries Mister, and Nattie is the 14 years old
