“Stream”

Everyday as the sun shines
A new page is always opened
Recalling sweet memories
Of childhood that never finishes

Looking at the stream moving fast
Reminds me with that day long ago
When I was a little kid playing
By the stream is where I sat

That day wasn’t mine
When we went outside
On the weekend it was
In the summer it came

The sun was shining with its yellow wings
Shining everything including the water
The water seemed so beautiful
And like any curious kid I did

I looked at the water as it shined
Wondering what was it I leaned forward
And suddenly, SPLASH
I fell on the stream and couldn’t swim

I was trying but I was too weak
And Allah made dad see me
As fast as he could he ran to me
To save the princess of his

I was the youngest at then
And the palace was mine
I didn’t even thank dad
But now I do every now and then
