Open DEBATE 8 (Economics): Do you agree or disagree?

hi all
whats up?

Today's Topic will be about "Sweatshop culture"

opening >>>>

Working conditions in developing economies have been widely reported as being sub-standard by prevailing western standards. These conditions are exemplified by the prevalence of "sweatshop culture" in these developing economies. Labor movements in many western countries have deplored these "nineteenth century" conditions and have called for international working conditions to be instituted in these developing countries. Producers, on the other hand, have resisted such calls by pointing out that workers in poor countries need the wage, and that, in any event, producers in developing economies cannot afford such reforms.

the discussion question>>>>

Do you believe that industries in developing countries should be made to conform to western workplace standards? Why or why not.

Ending>>>>>

pick a country and an industry

ps: this is my economics project 2000 words long,, and i need bibliography
i will be thankful if u discussed it with me

i think that the majority of arab States and its economy has grown

to a large extent, I do not see any reason for their policies in the West
because of the economic criteria for each state to determine the type of industries

it should be the state and the federal Bureau of Investigation we have the arab renaissance

the industrial and the great efforts being made to move forward and grow

thankss hamozaa for the topic

well in some of the arab countries the employess have high wages

but in this case we r talking about private business

in some private business u have employees right/

well some of the owners do not give their employee the money they diserve

for exmaple in china they work for a dollar a day

and in marocco the kids that makes the carpet owns a dollar everyday ,, this is what the dino told me so i know nothing about it.

the Q is,, y cant the owners of the business develop their business to have machines and matches the 21st century's standards,,,,,, counting the quaility and health...etc..

so the Q is "should they (the private business owners) change their business formation to match this of the westerns" and how can they? why or why not?

Duaa ...Duaa...Duaa

Economics !!! Again

what the hell

well I don't think that the workin condition is that bad in Arabic countries

these days every country even a 3rd world country has a ministry so called the Ministry of Labor >> that tries to protect the labors rights and puts laws to specify the wages

this does not mean that sweatshops don't exist in those countries.. but not in large scale

cheers
n good luck with this scary project

dont blame me lol

now i wish i never toke economics ,, but the main reason y i choose the class is coz i and ma friends choose it to be our hangout class

anyways lol its too late now haha

sorry lets go back to the main topic :P

yeah its true what you said

but in this case we r also looking at the guest business

its business that does not stay for a long period of time <i found that in an article> and in this case r they treated like anyone else??

so in the gulf states the biggest problem r the indians haha and the maids

but as in te whole arab states the palestinians and other poor country's citizens r affected

now go back to the main Q

should the owners of the business develop their business and match it to the western style? or should they stay old fashioned like they r

and for the maids case ,, lol try to find me something

lol min meen u should feel sorry for me

lol poor me i have this sily proj to do lol

and plus the teacher is racist toward me
<i dont blame him haha coz last year i used to prove anythin he says about the middle east is wrong >

hehe its scarier when u dont know what to start with but u acutally know how to end it
